Chimera is a free daily puzzle made by Michal Turjeman. It's built to collect as little as possible. There are no accounts, no ads, and nothing is sold.

What stays on your device

Your game progress, streak, and settings are saved in your browser's local storage so the game remembers you tomorrow. This never leaves your device. Clearing your browser data or switching devices resets it.

Usage statistics (only if you accept)

If you tap Accept on the cookie bar, we use Google Analytics to understand how the game is played: page visits and game events such as starting a puzzle, using a hint, finishing, and sharing, along with general details like country, browser, and device type. Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga) to recognize a returning browser. It doesn't give us your name or email, and we don't use it for advertising.

If you tap Decline, Google Analytics isn't loaded at all and nothing is sent.

You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the game. If you switch to Decline, the analytics cookies are deleted.

We only use these cookies with your consent. They are:

_ga: tells visits from the same browser apart. Kept for up to 2 years.
_ga_<ID>: keeps track of the current visit. Kept for up to 2 years.

Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel, which may keep standard server logs (for example IP addresses and request times) for security and reliability, under its own privacy policy.

Sharing

When you share a result, your device's share menu or clipboard handles it. We don't see who you share with.

Children

Chimera doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
